How could you tell this city is Osh? By the Sulaymen Mountain in the center!

Driving from the airport to the hotel--Tes Guest House, we saw the Sulaymen Mountain lying there, facing the clouds--the shape of the mountain looks like three faces. People consider the Sulaymen Mountain as a holy mountain, because of the story of Muhammad had prayed in the cave for some time. The cave is located on top of the mountain, very small hole on south side, about six meters deep. When you get inside you will find the spot that Muhammad had knelt down and prayed. Twenty meters away from the cave, there is a slide stone which is very slippery because of well used. women who can't be pregnant come here, lie down and slide from the top to the end for seven time, then their dreams come true.

There is another holy mountain in Aravan, a village in the west. Nobody knows when and who painted two horses on the rock of the mountain. On the mountain foot, there is a small hole, also nobody knows when the water comes out once a year. There is a guy(I Wonder if he's an Imam)telling us the story of an American woman came here praying and crying, and he used the woman's money to build a small garden right in front of the holy hole, grow beautiful flowers. Then a couple in their early thirties came to him, he prayed for them...

Actually before we went to the Museum in the Sulaymen Mountain, an Imam gave us a pray for all the goodness. We also met the young Imam who leads five prays a day in Osh.

The Museum is in the natural cave, shows the old life style, old religions, and wildlife in the region. Because of the old silk road, it's not surprise to see many Chinese merchandise.

The city view from the mountain is not spectacular, I think the field near Aravan is more enjoyable. The red flower is so bright and the scenery is so beautiful. We hung out and had a lot of fun.
But the best part of the Osh trip is being guests to a Uzbekistan family. The custom is that you can't go home without tea and bread. Our local driver Rahim lives with his father-in-law who has four daughters and a son, also has many grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The whole family live in a very big house, the 68 year old man is the head who solves any problems if they have. He also feeds about 30 sheep, each adult sheep worth $250.

We also went to the guide Mariana's house. Her father is from Georgia and mother from Russia. We tasted the homemade red wine, cheese, then the neighbour gave us Nan--local bread--they just baked and Greek salad they made. They are so hospitable.
Nan is like a tyre-round shape, very thin in the middle. Another popular local food is Samsa--like baked dumpling--meat with vegetable filling. They also have steamed one--manty. (In Georgia the popular one is boiled--Khingali.)
